Joram has been having his steady group of friends over the years. Merel is and has always been his favorite, I think that place is takes for the rest of his life (well, until he's 10, LOL) One of his other good friends is Nienke. Nienkes mom Diana had her birthday last Sunday and instead of giving a party she dicided they were going to take the kids out for the day and both their kids were allowed to invite a friend. So last Sunday at 10 Joram was picked up and they spent the day at Mondo Verde. I must admit, I had never heard of it, but Joram had a great time. Too bad the weather was not really too good and they even had hail during the day. I did not want to let Joram go empty handed so I arranged some pics of her two kids and made a scrapbook on the wall for her. I matched their new couch with the colors I picked and I must admit: I was very happy with the result. And thank goodness: So was Diana!

I used all kinds of stuff:

The other day the March sketch at My Sketch World came out. As a designer I have the privilege to see it way before hand and actually work with it before everybody else does. It's amazing to see your own name and work on a website that has soooo many visitors! My Sketch World has great sketches and they are definitely worth a try.

For this sketch I used my ultrasound photos (okay, I am getting into the baby stuff, totally guilty there!) I always love sketches with multiple pics. I loved to work with the
Ambrosia line from Basic Grey. The colors are so warm and vibrant!

Gymnastics / Turnen

Jorams attended gymnastics last September and he is still enjoying like in the beginning (it does help that three of his friends are there too). He loves to move and jump and he is SOOOO flexible. This layout was made with inspiration from the February issue of Creating Keepsakes. They showed a different way of using your scallopped / shaped cardstock. This is what I came up with.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned paper: KI Memories
Stickers: American Crafts Thickers
Die cut: Zip-e-mate
Other: Doilie, pin

Cardstock: Bazzill
Dessinpapier: KI Memories
Stickers: American Crafts Thickers

Surprise!

Sometimes life brings you everything you don't expect! Last week we found out that we are expecting our second. And I must say: A second child was a chapter that we closed a long long time ago. But besides that: He or she is more than welcome. All of a sudden we had ultrasounds made, people to surprise and all ather kinds of arrangements to make. And when the ultrasound was made we found out that I was almost 17 weeks pregnant. There's so many sweet people around us that offer their baby belongings to us. (We sold it all a couple of years ago) So we'll keep you informed on this big thing!

My Sketch World Layout Designer

This morning I had an email in my inbox saying that I was chosen to be a layout designer at My Sketch World (MSW). I submitted to this call when I was really brave and I loved the layout I submitted, but hey, you never know. Well, now I do know: I made it as a My Sketch World Layout Designer. I got to know Lucy (the owner of MSW) as a co designer at WeScrap and when she posted her submission call I had this brave mood and just did it.

And to give it a good start. At the My Sketch World FORUM we are hosting an online crop this weekend to celebrate their second anniversary. It is going to be jam packed with challenges, games and make&takes. All you have to do is join the forum and enjoy yourself! And............. don't be afraid, we're a lot of fun!

It zit vol met uitdagingen, spelletjes en make&takes.

Brittany, France / Bretagne, Frankrijk

Last summer we spent three weeks on a great campground in Brittany, France. I'll have to admit that France was defitiely not one of my favorite vacation destinations but ever since our stays in Brittany my opinion has changed. Maybe my experiences at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris were not too representative for the average Frenchman. Anyways, enough about the French people. What is absolutely amamzing about Brittany is the huge difference between high and low tide. That difference is about 14 metres. Don;t ask me how that's possible (I know it has someting to do with the streams in the ocean, the geographic position of Brittany and the relation between the standings of the sun and the moon, but that's about all I know) Because of the huge amount of sea bottom that is falling dry at low tide you can see a lot of sea life and you can wander there forever and see new things every time. The pictures on this layout were taken on one of those daily little trips to the beach. The layout is based on a sketch of Allison Cope (Thanks Ally!) I got to know her as a collegae designer at WeScrap and know by now she is an awesome scrapper. I love her style! She also has her own sketch blog: So Sketchy, which has lots of great sketches on there.
I'll post some detailed pics later!
