Long time no see.................

I have been very very busy. Taking over Let's Scrap just a week before a HUGE blog hop starts is a garantuee of getting things in order. I am now totally worked in on all the stuff there needs to be done. The blog hop made a lot of new members joining Let's Scrap. We love that!

Something else we did and I think it is sooooo cool: We started two new challenge groups. One is '100 layouts in 2011' and the other one is 'Let's Scrap our stash'. Both of them are pretty self explainatoiry. The 100 group is more or less set up for anyone who wants to achieve a goal in 2011. That could be a 100 layouts, but also 50 or 200. Just want to reach that goal.

The stash group is also fun. As the name says: We need to scrap our stash. You can join just for motivation, you can join for tips, but also to keep track of what oyu are doing. There is a thread where you can keep your monthly records. And as it is at Let's Scrap: Nothing difficult or pushy, just enjoy! Just join Let's Scrap and check it out!

And then there's the Blog Hop still going on. The design team came up with so many cool challenges, I am impressed! I started at Resolution #1 and I hopefully will be working on #13 tomorrow night. And the hop does not end until the 14th of February, so I will have time enough. If you still want to join please take a look at the top post of my blog, it has all the information you need. 

Well, now it is time again ot share a layout I made. I did quite a bit last week but I am only going to share this one. DD Jinte loves to dress up. She just walks around with necklaces around her neck the whole day and puts on sunglasses, bling shoes (from my MIL bought at the Gap, thanks Janny, she loves them!) and not to forget: That blingie tiara! These pics were taken at 6.30 in the moring so she is still wearing her PJ's.

Pink layout

With a boy in the house there's not many opportunities given to scrap pink. For the Spring crop at WeScrap I hosted a monochromatic challenge and with my ultrasound pictures I thought it would be a great chance to scrap pinks (No, we do NOT know what it is going to be!)! Monochromatic is nothing more than using all your supplies in different shades of one color. The effect can be stunning without taking away the attention of the photos. This is what I came up with:

Met een jongen in huis zijn er niet veel mogelijkheden om roze te scrappen. Toen ik een challenge moest verzinnen voor de Spring crop bij WeScrap kwam ik met het idee voor een monochromatic layout. Monochromatic betekent niets anders dan het gebruiken van al je materiaal in dezelfde tint. En met de foto's van mijn echo had ik een mooie gelegenheid om iets roze te scrappen (Nee, we weten nog NIET was het wordt!) Monochromatic kan een heel dramatisch effect hebben zonder de aandacht van de foto's af te leiden. Dit is wat het is geworden:

WeScrap monthly kit

This month the first WeScrap kit will come out. The designers were lucky enough to get one in advance so they could play and make some examples. When the package came to my doorstep I could not wait to start scrapping. Holy cow, that kit was ever jam packed with goodies. There were stickers, flowers, buttons, ribbon, journaling cards and tickets and tons of paper and cardstock. I also loved the fact that the kit was not really meant for a boy or a girl. You can scrap any kind of photos with this kit. I already know what the price is going to be and believe me: Nobody will be able to beat that! I can't show you the entire kit yet or the layouts I made with it but I can show you some sneak peaks (don't you just love sneak peaks???) And just make sure you order a kit at WeScrap when they come out (international shipping available)!

Deze maand wordt de eerste WeScrap kit uitgegeven. De designers hadden het geluk dat ze al van tevoren een kit kregen zodat ze er mee konden spelen en een paar voorbeelden konden maken. Toen de postbode op de stoep stond kon ik niet wachten om te beginnen met scrappen. De kit zat echt barstensvol met spullen. Er zaten stickers in, bloemen, knopen, lint, journaling cards en tickets and natuurlijk papier en cardstock. Wat ook heel fijn is: De kit is niet speciall gemaakt voor jongens of meiden maar ieder soort foto's kunnen er mee gescrapt worden. Ik weet al wat de kit gaat kosten en je moet me geloven: Dat is zo goedkoop! Ik kan jullie nog niet de hele kit of de layouts laten zien maar wel een paar voorproefjes. Vergeet niet om de kit te bestellen bij WeScrap als ie uitkomt (er wordt ook internationaal verzonden!)

April 3, 4 and 5 we'll be having a spring crop at WeScrap: Spring it On! This crop is going to be loaded with great challenges, games and make&takes! I love the community at WeScrap, it's friendly, warm and the site has tons and tons of resources. Their shop is amazing, the prices are so much lower than the average SB shop. Op 3, 4 en 5 april hebben we een lente crop bij WeScrap: Spring it On! De crop zal weer vol zitten met geweldige uitdagingen, spelletjes and make&takes. Als je nog geen geregistreerd lid bent kun je je altijd aanmelden als gast en het hele spectakel meemaken en later beslissen of je je wilt registreren. WeScrap is een geweldige site met heel veel vriendelijke mensen and er is zoveel informatie op te vinden. Ook hebben ze een geweldige online winkel met prijzen die zoveel algerl iggen als de gemiddelde winkel. Dus waar wacht je op?
