Scrap a Banner

One of the challenges (Resolutions at the Let's Scrap blog hop was to use a banner in your LO. Not too hard you can say. Well, I was doing this LO and made a banner to use and at the end (LO was done) I forgot the banner! Well, found a spot for it and it worked out fine. This is a pic of DH Richard coaching his hockey team made by a professional photographer a couple of weeks ago. Always makes me proud when I look at him like that (He is a tough ##%$#% coach!)
This became a layout with lots of dimensions and goodies.

Cardstock: Bazzill

Patterned paper: Paperloft, 7Gypsies
Tags: My Minds Eye, Jenni Bowlin Studio, Making Memories, Melissa Frances
Rub-ons: Daisy D's
Brads: Karen Foster

Measuring tape: Little Yellow Bicycle
Misc: Currogated cardboard, pins, sewing machine, star, ribbon

The word 'coach' and the banner were cut with the Silhouette.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! I hope to finish my last two Resolutions and thne I am done all 15!

Field day at school / Sportdag op school

Field day at school is always fun. The last two years the weather has been HOT and field day became a challenge to get enough fluids in. Parents are worried about heat strokes, dehydration and all other stuff (not me, let the kids have fun!) Children have fun anyways. Normally I always join and take photos the whole day but last years field day I was to pregnant and warm to atttend. I did get the chance to take some photos just before the day started.

Tickets: Tim Holtz
Misc: Chipboard letters

School Swimming Championships / Schoolzwemkampioenschappen

On November the 5th of 2008 we had the School Swimmingchampionships in De Tongelreep. De Boog, Jorams school joined for the very first time and Joram was one of the enthusiastic swimmers in the relay race. As parents we did not have the highest expectations but as always said: Joining is much more important than winning! But the unexpected happened and the little ones from grade 1 and 2 won the second price. And that in a pool full with experienced and even race swimmers. They were so proud (and so were we as parents)

This layout was featured in
WeScrap 's January newsletter.

The 'Champions' part of the title is handcut
