Super Star Circus

Joram gaat naar heel veel verjaardagsfeestjes en ze zijn allemaal even leuk. Maar dit jaar was er toch eentje die er voor hem uitsprong (wie weet wat er nog gaat komen?), het verjaardagsfeestje van Nienke. Joram is gek op het circus en dat Nienke een circusfeestje gaf was natuurlijk helemaal geweldig. Er waren supermooie verkleedkleren, allerlei dingen om te doen en uiteindelijk een echt optreden in de piste met ouders als toeschouwers (met popcorn en limonade voor de gasten) Alle kinderen waren heel erg nerveus en iedereen stond er versteld van dat alle kinderen zo maar gingen optreden. Joram is degene met de oranje pruik op die zo'n gek gezicht trekt. Het woord circus heb ik met de hand gesneden.

Joram is invited to a lot of birthday parties and he likes them all. But so far there has been one that was all he expected. (But you never know what still lies ahead?) That particular party was Nienke's birthday party. She threw a circus party and Joram loves the circus that that was a hit even before it started. There were awesome costumes, all kinds of activities to do and at the end a real show for all the parents (they were all sitting outside with popcorn and drinks) All the children were so nervous and all parents were so amazed that all the children actually did perform. Joram is the one with the orange wig who is pulling that funny face! The word circus is handcut.

Waterpokken / Chickenpox

Joram was vier-en-een-half toen hij de waterpokken kreeg. Het was een week voor de zomervakantie en ze zaten echt overal. Op zijn handpalmen, zijn voetzolen en zelfs op meer intiemere delen. Maar op een een of andere manier kwamen ze niet rond zijn navel. Sinds dat Joram een baby was gaf ik zijn navel al kusjes. Dat werd ons eigen 'ding'. Dus toen je vroeg waarom je nu geen waterpokken bij je navel had was het antwoord eigenlijk heel simpel: Omdat mama je daar kusjes geeft. Nu is Joram bijna acht en nog steeds krijgt zijn navel kusjes, maar hij weet ook nog steeds dat er geen waterpokken zaten.

Joram was four-and-a-half when he got the chickenpox. It was a week before summer vacation and they were everywhere. He had pox on the pams of his hands, on the soles of his feet and even on more private parts. But somehow they never showed up around his bellybutton. Ever since Joram was a baby I would be kissing his bellybutton. So when he asked why the pox were not there, the answer was easy: Because your mommy always kisses you there. Joram is now almost eight and I still kiss his bellybutton, but he also still remembers that he did not have chickenpox around his bellybutton.

10 000 bezoekers! / 10 000 visitors!

Ik keek net op de bezoekersteller en zag dat ik 10 000 bezoekers heb gehad. Toch wel reden voor een feestje. En omdat ik niet jarig ben ga ik een cadeautje weggeven. En om het nog net een beetje spannender te maken heb ik het volgende bedacht. We maken er een uitdaging van! Dit is de uitdaging: Maak een layout over een nummer. Dat kan een verjaardag zijn, een huisnummer en zelfs een lievelingsnummer. Kortom gebruik je fantasie!

Got Sketch Express Sketch #5

Got Sketch Express is imniddels al weer bezig met zijn zesde schets en ik heb net nummer 5 af. Dat wordt dus weer doorwerken! Het fijne is dat het vaak schetsen zijn waarop je meerdere foto's kwijt kan. Deze foto's zijn genomen afgelopen januari toen Joram op moest voor zijn 9e Geup examen voor Taekwondo en daarmee de gele slip verdiende.

Florence

Absoluut een van de mooiste steden ter wereld: Florence. Je kunt er geweldig genieten van mensen, eten, drinken, winkels en cultuur. Alles ademt een prachtige sfeer uit. De foto op deze layout is gemaakt vanaf de koepel van de dom van Florence. Richard heeft hem genomen, Joram en ik zaten ondertussen ijs te eten. Wij vonden al die steile trappen tussen de wanden van de koepel niet echt heel aantrekkelijk en kozen eieren (of ijs?) voor ons geld.

By far one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Florence, Italy. You can enjoy, people, food, drinks, shops and culture. Everything has this great atmosphere. The photo on this layout was taken from the top of the dome of Florence. Richard took the photo, Joram and myself were eating ice cream at that time. We both did not like the thought of those steep chairs in between the walls of the dome.
