Free printables

I have to admit; I am a sucker for free printables. And when you browse around the internet you will find tons and tons. But since I am browsing way too much anyway I thought I might as well link some cool ones up for you. So your visit here is not completely useless, LOL.
Though I did finish a LO today so I am up to date on the LOAD challenge at Let's Scrap. Which is by the way hosted by one of our fabulous DT members, Cathy. Cathy, thanks so much for doing this, you are one of the reasons why Let's Scrap rocks!

Now let's get back to the printables. Like I said, there are so many free ones out there. I used to store most of them on my computer or bookmarked the sites. Now I have many many of them pinned on my Pinterest board. Gotta love Pinterest!

Crafty Links

Every once in a while (well, maybe a bit more than that, I admit..............) I get totally carried away on the internet and before I know I have 20 different pages open with all stuff I'd like to do, make or participate in. Useless to say that I don't even have time to do any of these.

Since I got invited to Pinterest I became an avid Pinner and have my links and projects more organized than I ever did. But: When I don't start making stuff those lists will only get longer and longer. Maybe I should go for a different approach?
While browsing I came across some great projects and tips I wanted to share with you!

I have more shoes and boots than I will ever be able to wear out in my entire life so this post was very interesting to me. Make your own custom clips for your shoes so one pair can be 20 different ones. I must admit I am not too fond of animal prints but you'll get the point. Maybe this is a great excuse for buying those little black shoes I saw. The clips would be perfect for those! You can find the complete tutorial her at Thanks I made it


With Canadian Thanksgining last weekend and Halloween and American Thanksgiving coming up I always get tempted to buy cookie cutters. I have many but you can never have enough cookie cutters (please tell me I am right!) Each year I want ot bake cookies for all the teachers, friends and family but never have the time. Cookie cutters are not a normal thing here to have or to buy. So when I really need a particular shape I have to accept the fact that I won't be able to get it. Way back I looked at tutorials on how to make your own but that was way too complicated for me. I needed  way to many supplies and tools and I could just see myself not being patient enough for making them properly and then end up with all those supplies and NO cookie cutters! I came acroos this blog and this AWESOME tutorial at Happy Find: Make you own cookie cutters with supplies most of us will have in their homes anyways. Thisi s one of those things where people will say: Why did I not think about this before? Wel, simply because we did not! I will be doing this tutorial for sure and I'll post mine here, I promise!

I love all kinds of crafts but my favorite passtime is and will always be scrapbooking. There's tons and tons of inspiration to find on the internet so I am not going to put any of those links up here but I do want to share this one: The Art of Photo-less Scrapbooking by Paula Gilarde at Debbie Hodge. Sometimes you do have a memory you want to scrap but no photo's. This article is filled with great tips!

And with Halloween close by I wanted to share this awesome project I found on Aly Dosdale's blog. It is such an easy thing to make and it would even be fun doing it with the kids. I love the classy look it has and I can imaginem aking these in different colors for different seasons. You can find the detailed instructions HERE.

And while I was waisting time again on my favorite time waister Pinterest (But oooooh, I LOVE pinterest!!!!!) looking for tattoo ideas I came across this great idea for DIY male jewelry. Not like my DH is going to wear it but maybe DS wil....... These bracelets for men, or even for yourself, they look pretty cool, are made out of zippers! Such an awesome idea and they seem pretty easy to make. Well, maybe except for the candle part, I might be burning down the house. Mmmmmh, maybe someone is willing to make them for me???? Lazy Sunday Links

I don't think the rain will stop today. When I came out of bed this mornong it was raining cats and dogs and now it is still not dry. DH Richard went ot the movies with DS Joram, they are going to see The Smurfs and DD Jinte is taking a nap. Instead of doing something useful I have been on Let's Scrap, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and many other time wasting web sites. I can;t help help, I go from one site to the other and before I even know I have 25 tabs open with all interesting stuff.

Pinterest

I think it was last month when I read about Pinterest at ScrapScene's Speedlinks. At first I had no clue what it really was or how usefull it could be. But now that I know: I am completely HOOKED! What a great thing that is! And how easy to use and to navigate through. Why didn;t someone think of this before?

So now you know how I like it, I might as well explain what it is and how it works. Pinterest is comparible to your favorites folder that you use with your internet browser. I tried to keep that folder organized so I added sub-folders for every subject. But over the years I noticed that it was still not easy. Lots of files expired, some of the links should have been in two or more folders but most of all: I could not remmeber what the link was for unless I clicked on it and visited the site I linked to.

You create all different folders (Boards) which you can load up with images, links and little notes (all together called Pins) so you know what you added and what it was all about. Another great feature is that it is connected to Facebook. So it automatically finds your Facebook friends and you can see what kind of boards they have and what they pinned. You can also decide to follow a friend, follow a board or even if you see one interesting pin of someone you can also Re-pin it. And you can not believe how easy it is: You just add the Pinterest link to your favorites toolbar and when you see something you want to Pin, you simply click on that link, it will give you the option on what image you want to show and add your note, choose a board and it is Pinned!

There's only 2 buts: You can not Pin anything that does not have an image on the page. The second is: You can not just join Pinterest, you have to get invited. but thne again: You can also request an invite.

Oh, and maybe there is a third but: You'll be Pinning the whole day! Like Pinterest says: Happy Pinning!

A little update on the NSD activities at Let's Scrap: You still have two weeks to finish all the challenges. If you are planning to still get in the draw for the sketch (NSD2011#11) I'll have to dissapoint you, the deadline is over! Ofcourse you can still make it and upload it but it won't be in for the drawing anymore. But the good thing is: Tomorrow there will be a reveal of a second ketch for NSD! And ofcourse there's still the regular sketches and even two DT challenges. So enough to scrap!

Let's Scrap Blog Hop: Hoppy New Year

First of all: A Happy New Year! Let this year be filled with joy, happiness and fun! And let's right away start with some scrappy news:

But something bad can turn out in to something good whenever you expect it the least. I was looking for how to make socks into mittens. So I googled that and it came up with tons of ideas, instructions and tutorials but just not the one I was looking for. But I found something else: I was featured at Tip Junkie. Remember the post about the little tag softie I made for DD Jinte (You can find my original post HERE)? Well, appearantly is was cute enough for others to see. And talk about others: Tip Junkie has almost 6000 fans on Facebook. I don't even want to know what the amount of followers and subscribers are.............

Crafty links

I thought it was time to share some crafty links again. Sometimes I am looking for inspiration and I end up being on the internet the whole night. Crap, I hate that! There's so many nice things to see and to do, I need more TIME!

First of all, one of my favorite DIY blogs is the one from Cathe Holden, Just something I made. She also posts on SCJohnson with all fun projects. One of the projects that Cathe posted there and I still want to make is the easy ziploc bag tote, such a cool idea. Like I said: I need more TIME. There's tons of projects from Cathe on the SCJohnson site but this is also one I like: Personalized notecards. You do not have to be crafty or artistic to do this project, just do it and have fun!

One of the greatest projects on her own site is the Christmas advent calender. She already posted about that project last year but this year she took it even to a higher level. This is such a cool project. I wish I could find some wooden spools................................ If you look around on her site you will find more and more great projects you might want to do. Be careful, before you know you will be behind your computer the whole night.......

At Eat Drink Chic (love that one) they have a great download for a love and thank you card. I have a pic posted here. Same as before: If you start looking around at this site you will be lost in time. And, not really a project to DIY but even so cool. This post is called McFancy and you really have to check it out. Isn't that amazing?

For those who celebrate Thanksgiving there's a great free download at Silverbox Creative. These can be used as napkin rings, conversation pieces or made into a paper chain by the kids while you are cooking dinner. You can check them out and download them HERE. Sock Monkey / Sokken aap

Even though I am not scrapping while here in Canada I seem to keep the urge doing something creative. I have always wanted to make a Sock Monkey and my niece Danielle had a sock monkey kit with great instructions. I helped her getting started and I made one with brother-in-laws old socks (Thanks John!). I really got the hang of it and already made three. Then I decided that our suitcases would be full enough anyway and stopped. I will be making some again when we get home. DS Joram already decided he wants a sock monkey birthday party (in February, LOL)

They are really fun and easy to make and it is amazing to see that you use al most every part of the socks and make it in such a cool little animal. It is nice to make them from all different kind of socks. I thought of posting some instructions here but there are so many instructions on the net that I will not even bother to make instructions. I love CraftsBits and I think their sock monkey pattern is really good and very clear. You can find their instructions HERE. It would also be a great gift for newborns and children, but I would love to get one as an adult, for example with a box of chocolates in its arms. I can see myself making one matching the interior of the recipient. The monkeys I made were all made from socks in adult sizes but you can imagine how cool they are when you make them from kids socks.

It is almost weekend, enjoy it!

Ondanks dat ik niet kan scrappen hier in Canada blijf ik toch de behoefte hebben om iets creatiefs te doen. Ik heb altijd een Sock Monkey willen maken. Mijn nichtje Danielle had een compleet pakket met daarin hele duidelijke instructies. Ik heb haar op weg geholpen en heb er zelf een gemaakt van sokken van mijn zwager (Thanks John!). Vervolgens had ik echt de smaak te pakken en heb er inmiddels al drie gemaakt. Toen heb ik maar besloten om te stoppen omdat onze koffers sowieso wel vol genoeg zouden zijn. Maar als we weer thuis zijn ga ik er zeker nog een paar maken. En Joram heeft al besloten dat hij een Sock Monkey verjaardagsfeestje wil (in februari, hahaha). Ze zijn heel snel en makkelijk te maken en het is verbazend om te zien hoe je bijna alles van de sokken gebruikt en dit dan zo'n leuk dier wordt. Ze zijn geweldig om te maken van allerlei verschillende soorten sokken.

Ik dacht eraan om hier instructies te plaatsen maar er zijn zo ontzettend veel beschrijvingen op het internet te vinden dat ik dat idee maar snel heb laten varen. Ik ben gek op CraftBits and hun instructies zijn erg goed en heel duidelijk. Je kunt ze HIER vinden. Het is een geweldig leuk cadeautje voor pasgeboren babies, voor kinderen en zelfs voor volwassenen. Ik zou het helemaal niet erg vinden om er eentje te krijgen met bijvoorbeeld een doos bonbons in zijn armen. Ik kan me ook voorstellen om er eentje te maken die heel goed past bij het interieur van de ontvanger. De apen die ik gemaakt heb zijn gemaakt van sokken in volwassen maten maar je kunt je voorstellen hoe gaaf ze zijn als je ze maakt van kindersokken.

Het is bijna weekend, geniet ervan!

The Happiness Project week 16

This week I am on time and posting Leigh's Happiness Project on Tuesday! This photo was taken last Saturday in Elburg while we were out with the entire family (21 persons) We have lived in an old house before (1930's) and I said I would not want that ever again, but this one was too cute so I had to take a photo. Normally I take tons of photo's on days like this but this time I was less lucky because I forgot to take my memory card out of the computer and put it back in my camera. So I came there with the possibility to store only five photo's on the internal memory of the camera. All the stores I went to did not have the good card for my camera. We were not too lucky with the weather but both Jinte and Joram had a blast. The son of one of my cousins is about dd Joram's age and they played well together.

Deze week ben ik op tijd met het Happiness Project van Leigh en plaats het dus op dinsdag. Deze foto is afgelopen zaterdag in Elburg genomen toen we daar met de hele familie (21 man) waren. We hebben eerder in een oud huis gewoond (jaren '30) en ik zou dat echt niet meer willen, maar dit was zo schattig, ik moest er een foto van nemen. Normaal gesproken neem ik op dagen als deze heel veel foto's maar ik kwam erachter dat ik de geheugenkaart van mijn camera in de computer had laten zitten. Ik was dus aangewezen op 5 foto's die ik op mijn interne geheugen van mijn camera kon zetten. En geen enkele winkel die ik bezocht had de goede kaart voor mijn camera.

We hadden niet zoveel geluk met het weer maar zowel Joram als Jinte hebben een heerlijke dag gehad. Het zoontje van een van mijn nichten is van Joram zijn leeftijd en ze hebben de hele dag lekker gespeeld.

You might want to check Leigh's blog to check it out and enter to make a chance. You also might want to visit Jessica Sprague. Jessica is offering a free class called: Computer Tricks for cards. I did some of Jessica's classes and I love what I learn. You can register HERE. Registration started on June 14th and the actual class will start on June 28th. I came upon this blog called Midnight Rooster and they have this great tutorial for a Glimmer Mist Double masking technique. Looks really cool. I am definitely going to try that! Paper Glitter is a great blog and they always have great printable freebies. This time they are giving Father's Day cupcake toppers away. You can also use them als circle labels or as gift tags. While you are there you should take a look at their store. They have great printables and they are very affordable. Another cool idea for Father's Day is this tin of tokens at Eightteen25. This will be a great thing to do with the kids.

Er zijn aardig wat blogs die ik lees en Leigh vs. Laundry is er een van. Leigh heeft een geweldige ketting om weg te geven. Als je een kans wilt maken moet je echt even naar Leigh's blog.

Verder moet je ook eens kijken bij Jessica Sprague. Jessica heeft een gratis workshop 'Computer Tricks for cards'. Ik heb een paar van haar cursussen gedaan en ben iedere keer weer blij met wat ik geleerd heb. De registratie is gestart op 14 juni en de workshop start op 28 juni. Je kunt je HIER inschrijven.

Ik kwam op een blog genaamd Midnight Rooster en er is daar een geweldige werkbeschrijving geplaatst van de dubbel mask techniek met glimmer mist. Dat ga ik zeker proberen!

Paper Glitter heeft een geweldig blog en ze bieden ook altijd geweldige freebies aan. Ze hebben nu een hele leuke voor vaderdag: Labels voor op cakejes of om gewoon als lables te gebruiken. Als je toch op hun blog bent moet je ook gelijk eens een kijkje in de online winkel kijken. Echt hele leuke en betaalbare dingen.

Een ander heel leuk idee voor vaderdag is dit blik met tegoedbonnen voor vader bij Eightteen25. Een geweldig leuk idee om met de kinderen te maken.

The Happiness Project

Okay, I'll be the first one to admit: I am a day late for Leigh's Happiness Project. But I have been mixing up the days and I thought it was Tuesday today until someone mentioned otherwise.

Anyways. My photo for this week is one from Jinte and it was taken last night when she was taking a shower. Other than DS Joram at that same age she loves the water. I love the sparkle in her eyes on this photo. I can not believe she will be turning one in about six weeks. Time flies! 

Oke, ik geef het toe. Ik ben een dag te laat met Leigh's Happiness Project! Mijn excuus is heel simpel: Ik ben een beetje in de war met de dagen. Ik dacht dat het dinsdag was totdat iemand mij er vanmorgen op wees dat het toch echt woensdag was. Maar goed: Mijn foto van deze week is er eentje van Jinte. Deze is gisterenavond genomen toen ze onder de douche zat. Zij vindt de douche heerlijk, en dat terwijl Joram op die leeftijd het gespetter helemaal niet zo lekker vond. Ik vind de schittering in haar ogen op deze foto helemaal geweldig! Over ongeveer zes weken wordt ze alweer een jaar. Wat vliegt de tijd!  

Favorite crafts links / Favoriete hobby links

As you probably know I spend way too much time browsing the internet looking for neat craft ideas. I always seem to be looking for hours and never get to make anything! (one great thing about vacation: No internet!)

Anyways: I just wanted to share a couple of links that I have found and thought they might be interesting for you too.

I came upon Ann Wood's blog and she has this great tutorial on paper mache boats. They look so neat. You can find the tutorial HERE. And while you are there at Ann's blog you must take a look at the cardboard castle she made, really amazing.

Just Something I Made from Cathe Holden is one of my fave craft blogs. Cathe is so talented and I love how whe combines craft with her job and how she seems to come up with new stuff every time. Cathe posted about jewerly made with shrink plastic last year and I am amazed how she made it look like REAL jewerly! I love shrink plastic. I even teached a class on it once. Such a versatile and surprising product. You can find the post with a great tutorial HERE. This week I will try and make this Old School Notebook Cathe posted HERE. It will make a great gift too.

One other thing I wanted to share is the free download of journaling cards in telegramme style by Linda at Torta Gialla.

And the last one for this time has everything to do with going on vacation and do your own cooking. At home I have a great selection of he

rbs and spices and the one thing i do not like about going on vacation is cooking without spices. The last couple of years I have been taking a small salt and pepper shaker but there's still the need for cinnamon and others. I came across The Handy Hausfrau site and Sara posted this great idea for taking herbs and spices along when you go away for the weekend or a trip: A portable Spice Rack. She even has a download for lables if you want to. You can guess what is going to be taken along next year...............

The last couple of days I have been looking at Photo Jewelry Making since I want to order some of their products. It is a great site with a HUGE selection but it takes me forever to find what I want........

Zoals je wellicht weet breng ik veel te veel tijd door achter de computer met het kijken en zoeken naar leuke ideeen voor projecten van alle soorten. Het nadeel is natuurlijk dat het uren en uren kost en dat je in die tijd makkelijk zelf iets had kunnen maken. Dat is nu weer het goede van vakantie: Geen internet!

Toch zijn er weer een paar links die ik met je wilde delen omdat ik dacht dat ze misschien voor anderen ook wel leuk zouden zijn.

Ik zag op de blog van Ann Wood een werkbeschrijhving voor boten gemaakt van papier mache. Echt heel origineel En als je toch op haar blog bent moet je ook eens kijken naar het kartonnen kasteel dat zij gemaakt heeft voor een opdracht. Echt helemaal geweldig!

Just Something I Made van Cathe Holden is echt een van mijn favoriete sites. Het is ongelooflijk hoe creatief Cathe is en hoe ze dat weet te combineren met haar werk en toch steeds weer komt met iets origineels. Cathe heeft een bericht met werkbeschrijving geplaatst over het maken van juwelen met krimpie dinkie. Ik ben gek op Krimpie Dinkie. Een geweldig veelzijdig product waar je echt all kanten mee op kunt. Ik heb zelfs een workshop gegeven over het gebruik van Krimpie Dinkie en wat je er allemaal mee kunt. HIER kun je zien wat Cathe er mee gemaakt heeft en hoe het precies moet. Ook heeft ze een download en werkbeschrijving van een geweldig notitieboek. Die ga ik deze week eens proberen te maken. Ook een heel leuk cadeau-idee.

Nog een leuk is idee is de download van de telegramstijl notitiekaarten van Linda van de Torta Gialla.

Als laatste dit nog: Als je op vakantie gaat en je zelf moet koken is het altijd heel vervelend dat je je eigen kruiden en specerijen niet hebt. De laatste paar jaren neem ik altijd wel peper en zout mee maar je mist bij het koken dan toch weer van alles. Sara van de Handy Haysfrau site heeft een geweldig idee voor een mini kruidenrek en heeft zelfs nog een download erbij voor de etiketten als je die wilt. Je snapt wel wat er de volgende keer met ons mee gaat op vakantie........................

De laatste paar dagen ben ik me aan het orienteren op de prducten van Photo Jewerly Making omdat ik daar wat wil bestellen. Ze hebben een geweldige productselectie maar er zijn zioveel producten dat het me op zijn minst een week kost om alles een beetje te bekijken...............

Free pattern baby dress / Gratis patroon babyjurkje

The other day I bought a new sewing machine. I had a very good one but somehow it does not work properly. I had several people taking a look at it and no one could figure out what was wrong. After I bought the new machine I right away looked for fabric to make DD Jinte a cute little summer dress.

I came across this cute fabric and decided to buy it and just start sewing. I am not a experienced sewer but I always thought I should try more. Well, now I did.

Ofcourse I did not have any pattern or instructions for a dress so I started Googling for a baby dress pattern. I came on this website, Made by Rae, where a (FREE) pattern for a baby dress was posted. The cutest little dress and the pattern was pretty simple. (I needed a simple pattern, LOL) The pattern is for a newborn but Jinte is still so small that she would fit it no problem. 

Well, Rae was right: The pattern was pretty simple and her instructions were very good. I understood it all and the final result looked like a dress and did not fall apart after taking it of my sewing machine. Ik heb van de week een nieuwe naaimachine gekocht. Ik heb wel een hele goede maar er is iets mis met de draadvoering en ondanks dat er verschillende mensen naar gekeken hebben doet ie het nog steeds niet goed. Nadat ik de machine gekocht had ben ik natuurlijk gelijk op zoek gegaan naar stof. Ik wilde een stofje voor een leuk zomerjurkje voor Jinte.

Ik vond een geweldig stofje en ben gelijk begonnen. Ik ben niet zo heel ervaren in naaien maar vind dat ik het meer zou moeten oefenen. Dat heb ik dus gedaan!

Ik had natuurlijk geen patroon voor een jurkje en ben gewoon gaan Googlen voor een leuk patroon. Zo kwam ik terecht op de website Made by Rae waar een (GRATIS) patroon opstond voor een geweldig leuk jurkje. Ook was het niet een heel ingewikkeld patroon. Het jurkje was voor een pasgeborene, maar Jinte is heel klein en kan dat makkelijk aan.

Nou, Rae had gelijk; het patroon was heel simpel en de instructies die er bij staan geweldig te volgen (wel in het engels) Ik begreep alles en de jurk viel helemaal niet uit elkaar toen ik het klaar was. Nee, gekkigheid, het jurkje ziet er geweldig uit, ik ben blij met het eindresultaat en Jinte staan felle kleuren heel goed!

Leigh vs. Laundry: The happiness Project

The other day I stumbled upon this blog called Leigh vs. Laundry (GREAT blog title by the way!) and I started reading and got all caught up.
Every Tuesday Leigh hosts the Happiness Project and I decided to play along. Mainly because I think that nowadays we tend to think too much about the negatives in our lives and forget how much we have to be grateful for.
For me; I have a kick **** DH, a great 9 yo son Joram and a great almost 9 month old daughter Jinte. Even though there were and will be struggles in our lives there's also enough things to be grateful for and to be happy about.

Today I was able to make some pictures of the blackbirds nest in our backyard. Mommy was out for some food and I took the shot. I used DS Joram's camera so I could reach in the bushes and still get a decent shot. The photo is not totally focussed but alas................ I knew she was sitting on eggs but now we know that there are four!
I just hoped I did not disturbed Mommy so she wouldn't come back. Thank goodness she did come back.

Laatst kwam ik op een blog genaamd: Leigh vs. Laundry (geweldige blogtitel trouwens) en was gelijk verslaafd. Iedere dinsdag doet Leigh het Happiness Project en ik heb besloten om mee te doen! De belangrijkste reden hiervoor is dat ik vind dat we teveel nadruk leggen op het negatieve in het leven en te weinig dankbaar zijn voor alles wat we hebben.

Als ik naar mezelf kijk: Ik heb een gelwedige man, een super negen jarige zoon en een super 9 maanden oude dochter. Ondanks dat we best onze tegenslagen kennen en hebben gekend is er toch heel veel waar we dankbaar voor kunnen wezen.

Vandaag had ik de mogelijkheid om foto's te maken van het merelnest in onze achtertuin. Moeders was even van het nest verdwenen en ik ben gelijk met jorams cameraatje in de pergola geklommen om foto's te nemen. Ik had Joram's camera omdat ik dan beter door al het groen kon. Mijn camera is daar echt te groot voor. Ik wist dat ze op eieren zat maar ik wist alleen niet hoeveel.
Ik hoopte dat ik haar niet gestoord had zodat ze nietm eer terug zou komen maar gelukkig was dat niet het geval. Een foto die me blij maakt!

I am always looking for new ideas and before I know I have been behind (or is it in front?) my computer for hours. One website leads me to another and before I know I have about 25 pages open and waiting for me to take alook at.

In the last couple of weeks I have been looking at some projects and other things I really want to share with you. Don't want to keep the good stuff just for myself!

Last week Jinte was officialy diagnosed with milk protein allergy. So no lactose/lactase intollarancy as they thought before Over the last few months we have been seeing all the same symptoms by Joram too. So I told the pediatrician last week and she right away told me to come by with him because he will probably suffer from the same allergy. Too bad he knows the taste of milk and loves it! Jinte is now starting with eating bread and everything else a child normally eats at her age (she could not start that until all the testing was over) so we have to make sure we read all ingredients to make sure that there's no cowmilk protein in there. Did you know that in almost every loaf of bread there is milk?               To get back to the links. I saw this great project on Chica and Jo about recycling a phonebook into a penorganizer. When we get our new phonebook I will definetely make one. They have a great tutorial on their site with tons of picures. You can see their tutorail HERE. Another awesome project they have there is a tutorial on how to make your own photo notepads. With Mother's day in mind this could be a great little gift from the kids for grandma. You can find this project HERE.

Karen from the Graphics Fairy has this cool freebie! The new hot thing is the printed masking tapes. Japan has tons of them. Well, Karen has a downloadable freebie so that you can make your own. Talk about Spring: The sun is shining, all windows are open, and the comforters are hanging out to air. Ik ben altijd op zoek naar creatieve inspiratie maar voor je het weet zit ik al weer uren achter (of is het voor) mijn PC. Er staan dan zo maar 25 pagina's open die ik allemaal wil zien en de ene pagina leidt me dan weer naar een volgende. De laatste paar wekeen ben ik een paar leuke dingen tegengekomen en die wil ik niet voor mezelf houden. Leuke dingen moet je immers delen!

Afgelopen week is er bij Jinte officieel de diagnose koemelkeiwitallergie gesteld. Dus geen lactose of lactaseintollerantie zoals er eerst werd gedacht. Maar de laatste paar maanden zien we diezelfde symptomen die Jinteh eeft ook steeds bij Joram terug. Toen ik dat aan de kinderarts vertelede moest er gelijk een afsprak worden gemaakt en de kans is dus heel groot dat Joram dezelfde allergie heeft. Hij kent helaas de smaak van melk en vindt het heerlijk.
Jinte mag nu officieel starten met al het andere voedsel dat kinderen van haar leeftijd eten (ze mocht alleen fruit en groente) en we moeten nu dus gaan lezen op de verpakkingen of er koemelkeiwit inzit. Wist je dat er in praktisch ieder brood koemelkeiwit zit?

Teur naar de projecten die ik had gevonden. Op de site van Chica en Jo is een gewledig project te vinden waarin je een telefoonboek ombouwt tot een pennenstandaard. Als we het nieuwe telefoonboek krijgen dan ga ik er zeker eentje maken. Op de site is er een hele duidelijke werkbescrijving met heel veel goede foto's. Je kunt hem HIER vinden. Een ander leuk project wat ze op hun site hebben is het maken van notitieblokjes met foto. Een geweldig project om met je kinderen te maken voor Oma (het is al weer heel snel moederdag). Je kunt de bescrijving HIER downloaden.

Ik ben verzot op vintage etiketten. Ze zien er altijd zo geweldig uit. Het iDiY blog heeft een bericht met invulbare etiketten die HIER je kunt downloaden. Hun blog staat overigens helemaal vol met geweldige projecten en downloads.

Karen van The Graphics Fairy heeft een geweldige freebie. Iets wat helemaal hip is zijn de japanse maskeertapes. Ze komen echt in allerlei soorten en maten en zijn bedrukt met de leukste patronen die je je kunt bedenken. Karen heeft een downlaod waarin je ze zelf kunt maken. Er zit een hele goede werkeschrijving bij en je kunt het bericht HIER vinden. Ik vind de kleuren echt hel;emaal leuk. Het geeft me echt het gevoel van de lente.

Over lente gesproken. De lente is begonnen! De zon schijnt, de ramen staan open, de dekbedden hangen buiten te luchten. Kortom: Tijd voor de grote schoonmaak (grapje......) een paar goede links met info over de voorjaarsschoonmaak: Martha Stewart (Wie houdt er niet van Martha) en Organized Home heeft zelf een hele lijst met schoonmaak artikelen en handigheden.
