My Memories Memory Suite WINNER

Thanks you all for participating in my giveaway and reposting, announcing, following and all those other things I made you do!
For those who are also a member of Let's Scrap my drawing of the winner won't be a new thing: Got the salad bowl out again! For those who don't know: I get my salad bowl out and a bunch of little papers and start writing names. Put them all in my salad bowl and depending on the time of day it is either my DS Joram or myself who'll draw a winner. That is how I draw the winners from our weekly sketches.
Today Joram was way too busy starting a fire in the back yard with a magnifying glass so I picked a name out of the 'hat'.

And the winner is (can you hear the drums????): Jeaunes

Congrats Jeaunes! Please send me an e-mail so I can send you the code to download your own version of My Memories Memory Suite.

For all of you: Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll have a great weekend. I am so ready to scrap, so I think I will put the kids ot bed earlky and scrap the night away. Since hockey season started again there no such thing as feeling guilty towards my DH Richard!

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS

I am really thrilled to announce my first sponsored giveaway! A couple of weeks ago someone form My Memories contacted me and wanted to know if I was interested in doing a sponsored giveaway on my blog. The first thing I did was checking out their site and their products. You got to know what you are giving away right?

I can right away tell you that I was impressed and I wondered why a digital or hybrid scrapper could live without this software.
The product that I am going to give away is My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software. I was able ot try it out prior to this giveaway and let me tell you: YOU WANT TO WIN THIS!

And even if you don't win: I have a coupon code that will give you an instant discount of $10 when you purchase the software and another $10 discount when you buy some of their other products. That is a amazing total of $20. So I guess you are all winners in the end! I'll give you more specific details later on in this post.

Here's a little about the software:

And not just one book either; you can make 3 or 4, or even a hundred published books from your one album. Turn your scrapbooks into treasured keepsakes by giving copies to family and friends.
You're not out of options yet...Take advantage of a full suite of sharing options and turn your scrapbook into a movie to watch on a DVD-or view on an iPod. My Memories Suite allows you to share an interactive album on a disc (DVD or CD) that will automatically play on a computer (PC or Mac). Viewers can interact with your scrapbook by clicking on video, playing narration or navigating through your scrapbook like a website. You can even place in web links for them to visit or embed hidden files like Grandma's secret cookie recipe.
With My Memories Suite you can even create and share professionally printed and bound calendars, make posters or trading cards for your son's soccer team, post a movie of your scrapbook on your Facebook page-all with the click of a button. If you are serious about creating the ultimate scrapbook that preserves and shares your memories with a serious amount of "wow" factor, then My Memories Suite is the one-stop solution for you.
Build beautiful scrapbook pages. What can Your Software Do?

A large collection of papers and embellishments are available at your fingertips to help you make each page uniquely your own. Drop in your in pictures in seconds-then crop, edit, retouch and rotate them right on the page. If this were any other scrapbooking software, you might be finished. But with My Memories Suite, the real power-and fun-of this software is just beginning.
You can make a beautiful scrapbook an interactive memory experience for anyone who sees it. Use simple one-click options to enhance your scrapbooks, with music, narration, video, and even the Internet. Another sketch Wednesday at Let's Scrap

It is Wednesday again and that means we have the reveal of a brand new sketch at Let's Scrap. We also have the month long challenge with a Julie Bonner sketch and the weekly DT challenge so there's tons of inspiration! Let's just hope it gets me scrapping too. My SB room has been such a mess no wonder I did not scrap at all the last week. Last night I cleaned of a lot of it and hopefully I will be able to get some scrapping done tonight.
Other than that life has gone back to normal, DS Joram is totally used to biking to school every morning and back in the afternoon. DD Jinte will will start playgroup for two mornings a week in two weeks. I can not believe I already have to 'let her go' all by herself. I hate those milestones where you get confronted with how fast they grow up.

I would also like to tell you that I will be having a GREAT give-a-way tomorrow! If you like hybrid scrapping (don;t we all do that in a way?) or when you are a digital scrapper please come back tomoroow: There's a great opportunity to win something awesome!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Scrapped a first birthday and blog hop winner announced!

It seems like forever since I updated my blog. The Let's Scrap blog hop has taken a lot more time (and energy) than we thought and now that it is over there's a bit more time for other things like scrapping and other fun stuff!
The blog hop was a tremendous success and there were so many participants. The designteam came up with the most amazing challenges. We got so many new members and the gallery was rocking. I even got to finish all 15 challenges on the blogs. The only thing I did not finish was Kathy's word scramble. There were 25 words and I did not get more than 8 unscrambled. Isn't that horrible?????? Guess I can say I am not so good at word scramble games!
I had 50 people participating in my challenge so there were a lot of rusty dusty eyelets used. It was great to see all the ideas people came up with to use eyelets. Even though they seem very outdated, non of the layouts or cards that were made for this challenge looked outdated. I used the random number generator to pick a winner for my challenge. The winner is Rachelle! She made a really cool layout with eyelets. Congrats Rachelle, your prize is on its way!

There is lots of activity going on at Let's Scrap. The two new challenge groups we started are a great success and you can still join them. One group is the 'Let's Scrap our Stash' group where you are challenged to use only your stash while scrapping. I finished the month of January without buying anything new!
The second group we started is the '100 layouts in 2011' group. Basically the goal is to reach your scrapping goal in 2011. Some of us scrap 200 LO's in a year and some only 50, but the challenge is to reach your personal goal. I am set for a 100 layouts for 2011, and so far so good, I have finished 16!
And trust me, there's more fun to come at Let's Scrap!

The first layout after the blog hop was one with pics from DD Jintes first birthday. I can not believe she is over 18 months already. We celebrated her birthday a little early because we would be in Canada for her birthday. So it was not really her birthday but there we tons of people, gifts and a dairy, egg and nut free cake (got to love those allergies!)

I scrapped this with papers that I loved because of the design but I always think that papers that have an entire image on it as a design are so hard to use. I could not scan this layout because of its bulkiness so I had to take a pic. But with hardly any daylight out there I had to use the falsh. :( This is what I came up with:

Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned paper: Prima Marketing
Button: Bazzill
Misc: Sewing machine, ribbon

I made the flower from crepe paper. I thought the color matched the patterned paper perfectly.

Some crafty and cool links / Een paar knutsel en leuke links

I have quite a few blogs that I read and Leigh vs. Laundry is one of them. Leigh is having a great give-a-way for a beautiful necklace. You might want to check Leigh's blog to check it out and enter to make a chance. You also might want to visit Jessica Sprague. Jessica is offering a free class called: Computer Tricks for cards. I did some of Jessica's classes and I love what I learn. You can register HERE. Registration started on June 14th and the actual class will start on June 28th. I came upon this blog called Midnight Rooster and they have this great tutorial for a Glimmer Mist Double masking technique. Looks really cool. I am definitely going to try that! Paper Glitter is a great blog and they always have great printable freebies. This time they are giving Father's Day cupcake toppers away. You can also use them als circle labels or as gift tags. While you are there you should take a look at their store. They have great printables and they are very affordable. Another cool idea for Father's Day is this tin of tokens at Eightteen25. This will be a great thing to do with the kids.
Have a good one!

NOTE: I have edited my post with my last layout here. I have replaced the poor quality photo with a much better one. If you want to see, you can find it HERE

OPGELET: Ik heb mijn laatste bericht over mijn layout aangepast.

Another home madecard / Nog een zelfgemaakte kaart

Even though I don't really like to make cards, I do like the idea of sending a home made card to people. So one of my 'resolutions' this year is to make some cards ahead and make sure I have one ready when I need one. I also decided to only use scraps for making cards. I think I can make cards for the rest of my life if you consider the amount of scraps I have. I also want to use my stamps for making cards. I have so many stamps and hardly use them. Maybe this year I will be able to do a stamp class.
So this card is not for someone in peticular, just made one......................

Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned paper: Chatterbox, Making Memories
Border punch: EK Success
Ink: StazOn

And if you would like a card from me on your birthday; please send me an e-mail (see my profile page) and send me your address and your birthday and you might get a card from me.

I did put 'might' in there for a reason. I sometimes have over 300 visitors a day and if they all send their addresses to me, I'll be making cards full time for then ext three months. So don't worry, if it doesn't get too crazy I'll send everybody a card...........................

Cardstock: Bazzill
Dessinpapier: Chatterbox, Making Memories
Randpons: EK Success
Inkt: StazOn

Our tree is up! / Onze boom staat!

It took us half our day but it's there and we're pretty content: Our Christmas tree! Joram was so eager to set up the tree but I ended doing it by myself while he was doing other stuff. We started at 8 in the morning and were not finished until 2. I did not buy anything extra for the tree this year so nothing more had to go in there (like it's not packed enough anyway, LOL)
There's quite some angels in our tree (even the tree topper is an angel). I have this thing with angels and somehow I feel that angels NEED to be in the Christmas tree.

Last year DH Richard bought an artificial tree. People kept saying: I can't believe that a Canadian is buying a 'fake' tree. I miss the whole process of buying a tree, but I love the fact that the tree is sturdy no matter what heavy stuff you put in there. And we have quite some heavy ornaments in there.
Since this weekend the weather is getting colder and there's even snow in the forecast. Not like there's any chance on having a white Cristmas, our last white Christmas we had in 1981.

My BFF Marjan had the H1N1 flu and is now getting better so we'll be scrapping tonight! Talking about the H1N1 flu; Joram and myself will be getting our second vaccination tomorrow..............

Something else about Christmas: I love to read the Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine and blog and they have some awesome giveaways this holiday season. Beside that they have the cutest Christmas projects posted. I love the cards that the DT made with kids hand prints. You can see them HERE.
Their winter issue came out last week (you can download it in PDF and also pick it up in the stores for free) and together with that there is a great download for Christmas tags. I just love the colors. You can see and download them HERE.

To all of you: Have a great week!
