Scraplift

Gisteren heb ik een layout gescraplift. Voor de scrappers onder ons: Jullie kunnen dit volgende stuk overslaan. Voor de niet scrappers: Scrapliften is je laten inspireren door een layout van een ander en daar vervolgens je eigen invulling aangeven. Je kan je bijvoorbeeld laten inspireren door een kleurstelling die iemand gebruikt heeft, of juist door de vormen of zelfs door een stijl. Mijn inspiratie kwam van een layout van Nancy Jones en ik werd vooral geinspireerd door haar gebruik van bloemen en de 'oude' look van de layout. Ik ben aan de slag gegaan en heb papier getornd, geschuurd en zelfs een beetje geschuurd. Wat inkt hier en daar en de bloemen ook nog bewerkt. Het eindresultaat ben ik best tevreden over, vooral omdat het een layout is die iets verteld over mijn ziek zijn; Mijn grote vijand: De depressie.

Yesterday I scraplifted a page. I was inspired by a page of Nancy Jones. Her style is really appealing, but it is also a style that is so not mine. I was inspired by all the flowers and the 'old' look she gave to her page. So I started grunging, scraping, sanding and tearing. I used a lot of ink and even adapted the flowers to the layout. I am pretty content with the final results, especially because this layout tells something about my disease. My great enemy: Depression. This is the journaling on the page:
